A good base for visiting Bath and nearby National Trust places, including Laycock village and Abbey. The Swan and The Crown pubs are also close by for an evening meal. The accommodation was warm and comfortable, with parking, a large bedroom, an entrance suite and facilities for making hot drinks. The owner was welcoming, and breakfast was tasty with a good choice.
We had a spacious room with a king bed and a separate half kitchen, plus patio doors opening onto a lovely patio and garden. The countryside views are spectacular, as the cottage sits halfway up a valley slope. It's a beautiful setting, and the hosts were gracious and friendly. Bath and the National Trust village of Lacock, used as a location for films such as Harry Potter, are a short drive away.
Dorothy brought us a delicious breakfast right on time, and we really enjoyed our two nights at Spinney Cross. It's on a hill in a quiet neighbourhood, with a spacious, well-kept garden. The bed was very comfortable, the linens were clean, and two bath robes were provided. I'd recommend it to travellers with a car who want a quiet retreat from the city.
Lovely views and a great location, with clean, well-equipped rooms. Breakfast was super too. A fantastic B&B.
Dot made us feel very welcome, and we'll certainly be back later this year. The bedrooms were big and spacious, with a kitchenette attached, and the garden and views were beautiful. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Such a gem of a bed and breakfast.
