The White Hart

The restaurant served delicious food and the staff were very friendly. We had a fantastic two-night stay at The White Hart and would highly recommend it. Our room had all the facilities we needed and was amazing. The setting is picturesque, with Castle Combe and Bath a good distance away. We'll definitely book another visit soon.

Breakfast was fantastic, and we both enjoyed the full English. The room across the road was very clean, had all the facilities we needed, and a lovely comfortable bed. We arrived on a rainy Sunday in September and were warmly welcomed and shown to our room quickly. The pub had a lovely atmosphere; we enjoyed drinks before dinner, then had delicious, well-prepared pub meals, fish and chips with a very large portion and steak. The staff were great, and the atmosphere stayed warm and pleasant. A lovely pub in a beautiful location, highly recommended even in poor weather. Many thanks!

The rooms were beautifully prepared, the staff friendly and helpful, and the on-site restaurant served fabulous food. Parking was free and convenient. This was the most magical one-night stop on our self-drive trip around England's west country. Highly recommended, especially if you're travelling between Castle Combe and Bath.

The rooms were lovely and just as pictured, but we could easily hear people in the rooms below walking around and opening and closing doors. They weren't especially loud, so the soundproofing was poor. Our room also had a very creaky bed and bathroom doors. The people working there were quite rude, which felt unnecessary. When we arrived to check in at the time we'd given on Booking.com, it was busy at dinner. We waited patiently and didn't ask anyone to hurry, but a woman came over and told us aggressively we'd have to wait because we'd arrived at peak time. The man at checkout the next day had a similar attitude. Still, the rooms are lovely, and some WD40 on the hinges would make them even better.
