Axo Shelbourne

I toured the accommodation today and came away thinking I may have found the right place for this September. Haniah made me feel comfortable and confident without pushing me, and I appreciated how she presented everything. She was friendly, welcoming, and professional throughout. She explained all the details clearly, answered my questions patiently, and really knew her stuff. I'd happily recommend her to anyone coming for a viewing.

I was promised a refund of my rent and deposit, but neither ever came through. The staff were rude and unhelpful, and the environment was poor. As a student, I felt ignored and disrespected. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

There are only three washers and three dryers for the whole student village, which is already a poor setup. When one dryer broke, I asked reception for help. The staff member came to inspect it but first asked two residents, “do you believe this guy?” about my complaint, then accused the students of doing something to the machine. He opened the dryer and gestured as though that proved it worked, while ignoring the error code on the display. We explained that the problem wasn't the door, the dryer wouldn't switch on, but he didn't seem to understand. He fetched a colleague, who said we residents would have to phone the dryer company ourselves. The staff were incredibly rude. Really unbelievable.

The room was dirty, with blood stains on the floor and chair, and there were mouse droppings. The extra fan doesn't work and the heating isn't working properly. The service is poor and I'm really disappointed. Nobody seems to care about the spiders or cleaning the floor.
