Telegraph Hotel - Coventry

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place was brilliant for the price. The retro feel, great furniture and bathroom all worked for me. My room was spacious, with a huge, comfortable bed. The receptionists were fantastic, and the bar was great for an evening drink. It’s in a fantastic location, and I’d definitely return if I’m in Coventry again.

I chose the telegraph for a work trip on my own because staying alone in an air B&B had felt lonely last time. Jordan at the bar made such a difference. She was bloomin fantastic, made me feel welcome and comfortable, and remembered my drink order when I came back on the second night. The chicken supreme was the tastiest dish I’ve had in ages. Jordan’s an absolute credit to the hotel, and the world would be better with more Jordans in it ❤️

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including sausage, bacon, fried and scrambled eggs, tomatoes, beans, hash browns, croissants, toast, jam, cheese and cold meats. There was orange and apple juice, and the coffee machine made lovely hot chocolate. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the bathroom a good size, with some nice little touches. It was quiet too. Staff were very friendly and helped us out. Drinks at the hotel were quite expensive.

My wife and I wanted a night out for Valentine’s Day, and we were really impressed with this hotel. The room was amazingly spacious and very clean, and the bed was soft and roomy. The staff were fantastic, polite and helpful. We’ll definitely come back again this year.
