I can’t comment on the rooms since we only came for Sunday dinner. The tables were clean and the staff seemed nice. The beef dinner was average overall. We weren’t asked how we wanted the beef cooked, and the stuffing was a bit dry. The seasonal vegetables tasted very nice but were a little cold. The root veg, parsnips and carrots, were quite sweet and pushed my sugar levels much higher than I expected. I think they might have had honey in them, though the menu didn’t say, and I could be wrong.

We spent a couple of nights here recently. The rooms are competitively priced and good value, especially with the excellent breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome.

A lovely village pub with really friendly staff and nice pub grub. Our room was spotless and spacious. Definitely worth a visit.

The food looked good for other people, but the gluten-free choices were unfortunately very limited. I couldn’t get a burger because they didn’t have gluten-free bread, and the fryer was broken so chips weren’t available either. Salad was fine, but it wasn’t what I actually wanted.

We booked what seemed like a nice pub with rooms for an overnight stay near Coventry. The staff were nice when we arrived, and the food we ordered came promptly. But our room and bathroom were cold, the sink was outdated, and there was very little hot water. We had to ask for towels and toilet roll because none were in the room. Breakfast took about 25 minutes to arrive the next morning. All in all, it wasn’t a good experience.
