The rooms were tidy enough, but unbearable, and we won’t come back with the kids. The shower pressure was poor, there was no air con, and the window only opened about 3 cm. I know the hotel couldn’t control the temperature, but it made the rooms uncomfortable. Food was average, though my son loved his wings. The staff could’ve been more accommodating, especially with kids wanting activities during half term. We booked this as a last-minute family break. Children had very limited swimming time, and the available slots clashed with lunch and dinner. They also wanted to play darts, but we were told the bar was closing at 10pm when it was already 9.30pm, and that darts had to be booked online. The booking page kept showing full. I asked if playing would hold up the bar closing and was told it wouldn’t. I ordered a drink, which I wish I hadn’t, since we couldn’t play anyway. They offer free darts intervals, so I know they can set it up, but nobody helped find a way for us to book and pay. It’s not old, tatty or dirty, but it still wasn’t good enough for us to return. A few changes could make a big difference to customer satisfaction.

The team made my Funnel Training event a success, and we’ve already decided to book with the same hotel chain next year. Thank you to Amanda and housekeeping for keeping everything immaculate, and to all the friendly staff who looked after us so well. We spent four nights at Village Hotel Coventry and used the pool, spa, bar and restaurant. The food was incredible and the atmosphere welcoming. As a group of business women, we felt cared for throughout. Michael and Adrian made sure the event had everything it needed, while Kayleigh and Jess kept our meals and snacks arriving on time and just as requested. Crystal, Aud, Ashleigh and Millie at the bar were lovely and always ready to help. Emelie even helped me put on false eyelashes for the first time, service I won’t forget. Fingers crossed the team at Ashleigh on Lyne are just as great next year. Thanks, everyone.

The staff were really helpful, especially Kayleigh, Jess, Milly, Chrystal, Ashley, Adrian and Michael. I stayed at The Village Hotel Coventry for a three-day training course, and slept well in the comfortable bedrooms. The conference room was comfortable and well equipped. We ate well during the course, and the bar food was good too. I’d recommend staying here.

I slept really well in the perfect bed. The staff were all so friendly, especially at reception, where everyone was genuinely kind and keen to help whenever I needed anything, from arrival to departure. Special thanks to Paul, one of the managers, who helped me a few times during my stay. He’s a credit to the hotel. The young guy serving in the restaurant around 9pm on Thursday was brilliant too, though I didn’t get his name.

The restaurant was good, and the place felt friendly. The rooms are basic and laid out oddly, but they’re fine for an event stay rather than a holiday. I’d asked for two singles but was given a double. They were fully booked, so there wasn’t anything they could do. It wasn’t a big deal for just one night.
