Cowbridge Cabins

I had a decent stay, especially travelling on my own. The staff were helpful with questions, and there’s free parking right outside. My room had a small fridge, clean towels and nice toiletries, and was clean enough. There’s a picnic table on the lawn in front of the rooms, plus a farm shop by the entrance. The location is convenient for getting around nearby.

The stay was good overall, but the kettle had been left with water in it. That should be emptied during cleaning before the next guest arrives. The TV also wasn’t working, and I think it needs to be checked each day, even though we didn’t spend time watching it.

The cabins are basic, but they’re comfortable enough when you’ve been out all day and just need a place to sleep. Everything was lovely and clean, and it’s great value. The farm setting is beautifully laid out, about 25 minutes from Cardiff. I’ve already booked to come back for a second stay.

The room could use some repainting and refurbishment, and the mattress wasn’t comfortable. The fridge was so noisy that I had to switch it off to sleep, and I couldn’t find a hairdryer. It was reasonably clean and well equipped otherwise, so it’s a shame these things brought the stay down. The cabins sit in landscaped grounds with lovely views and picnic benches outside. Forage farm shop and restaurant is nearby, with a good value breakfast, but book ahead to avoid disappointment. Cowbridge town centre is a ten minute walk.
