We both chose the garlic mushrooms, which were delicious, followed by lamb cooked perfectly. The set lunch was £19, reasonably priced, and the menu also listed extra side dishes. The service was excellent and the atmosphere lovely.

We had a birthday dinner with family from Ireland and would happily come back. Layla was a fantastic server, thoughtful, great craic, and so attentive to everything we needed. Her shift ended near the end of our visit, so I hope the tip gets shared with her. The other staff were great as well, though I didn’t catch their names. Would recommend.

Christmas Day lunch at the bear hotel Cowbridge was amazing *****. The staff made us feel so special with all the extra touches. Food, service and atmosphere were all fab *****. I love that everyone dines at the same time, such a great idea. Thank you to the staff. Maria and Jess. We’ll be booking again for next year as soon as bookings open.

The room looked utterly beautiful, and the team made our wedding reception feel special from the very beginning. As soon as we came for our first viewing, my husband and I knew we wanted the bear hotel as our venue. They kept in regular contact and were always there for our questions. We brought all our decor the day before, and they said they’d set everything up so we didn’t have to do a thing. Kluadia looked after us through most of the process and was incredible. The team on the night were brilliant too. We couldn’t have asked for more, thank you to everyone at the bear for making our wedding so special ❤️

The rooms where we and some of our guests stayed were perfect, and the bear was such an accommodating venue for our wedding. Molly and Klaudia from the events team were kind and always there while we planned, making everything as stress free and easy as possible. On the day, Mike and Amy kept things on track and were wonderful with us and our guests. Wayne was amazing as the evening DJ, too. We couldn’t recommend the place more. Thank you to the whole team at the bear!
