Somerton Farm

We stayed for a week and found it a really nice, dog-friendly place, with plenty of space for 8 people and all the amenities you'd want. The children spent hours on the foosball table. The kitchen has the essentials if you like cooking on holiday, though I wouldn't call it extensively equipped. There's a nice outdoor area with picnic tables and a decent dining table, and great views of the surrounding countryside. It's convenient for most things, with an Aldi just around the corner and Gurnard Beach, a shingle and pebble beach, and Cowes only a few minutes' drive away.

Apple, the friendly horse in the next field, even tried my woolly jumper along with the apples. The place feels peaceful out in the countryside, though it’s really close to town. Inside, it’s bright, lovely and well equipped.

We’ve just finished a week at Somerton Farm with the family, and it made a really comfortable, welcoming base for the Isle of Wight. The enclosed garden was ideal for our dogs, who were welcome too, and there’s a petrol station just down the road. It’s well placed for getting around the island’s attractions. There’s room for eight, with four bedrooms, two lounges, a dining room for eight and a fully equipped kitchen. One bedroom has an en-suite, and there’s also a modern bathroom for everyone else. We’d recommend Somerton Farm very highly to anyone planning a holiday here.

The scenery was stunning, and the farm was a perfect spot for our group of friends. The host was super, and it felt well worth the price. It also suits families with children or pets. We’d happily do it again!
