Sunnycott Caravan Park

We had such a peaceful, comfortable stay in an immaculate caravan, with everything nearby. Alan and Lynn were wonderful and went out of their way to help us. My family and I were there for five days, and enjoyed it so much that we’ve booked again for July and August. Can’t wait to return. Thanks so much, guys! :)

Al and Lynn were perfect hosts, and the caravan was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The kids loved it too. It was very reasonably priced, especially during "Cowes Week". The site is small, friendly and quiet, with around 20 caravans off a quiet country lane. We found it a great base for exploring the Island, with Cowes about 10 minutes away by car.

The cows in the next field were lovely to wake up to 🐮😁. Our caravan was clean and the beds were comfortable, and my partner and I both slept well. Electricity was included, which was a bonus. WiFi was available for an extra cost, but the signal wasn’t great, so we didn’t use it. It was a bit loud in the evenings, though the location was handy for everything. The host was friendly and helpful too.

This was possibly the worst "holiday park" I’ve seen, and it didn’t feel worthy of the name. Part of it seemed like a building site, and the rest like a caravan site. I wouldn’t call it a park: there are no facilities beyond two washers and a dryer, and nowhere you can walk to. Most of the site is occupied by homeless families placed there by the council, who aren’t treated nearly as pleasantly as holidaymakers. Holidaymakers are spoken to nicely and can presumably get help if they need it. The electricity gets switched off for hours without warning. When the gas runs out, you’re made to feel guilty for using it. Piles of scrap make the site unsafe for children, as the pictures show. The available WiFi is very, very expensive.
