We stayed in a cosy, comfortable cottage on a quiet country lane, with everything we needed, especially in the kitchen. The host was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. There was lots of information in the cottage about places to visit nearby. We enjoyed Eggs to Apples for its varied produce and lovely cafe, and the walkable Eight Bells is well worth a visit for lunch. There's also a small Kent Wildlife Reserve just off the lane. At this time of year, bring wellingtons.
