Onnen Fawr Cottage

We took all three properties for a long weekend in Brecon to celebrate my parents’ 50th anniversary. There were 25 of us, and the places gave the adults and kids plenty of room. Thanks for letting us use your property, 😀

We had a party of 17 adult couples, and the place worked really well for us. The kitchens were great, and the rooms were lovely, though a few weren’t suitable. The beds and pillows were comfortable. One letdown was the hot tub by the big barn, which had so much chlorine it took the colour out of my swimsuit. The other tub we tried was fine. There are great walks all over the area, and I’d definitely come back and recommend it.

The house suited our group of six well, with large rooms and plenty of bathrooms and en suites. We were there for the trek26 Brecon beacons challenge, and it was in a handy spot for what we needed. Soaking in the hot tub after the walk helped relax both body and mind. WiFi came and went, and finding the house was a little tricky, but it served its purpose perfectly.

The scenery is stunning, the accommodation is very good, and the owners are friendly and helpful. We loved our holiday enough to book again, and were excited to be coming back the next day. Our return stay was restful too. The owners were happy to help with anything, from finding fishing for my husband to delivering the parcels I’d ordered. We were late checking out because our baby granddaughter didn’t know the rules, but the waiting cleaning team were so kind that a potentially stressful moment became no problem at all.
