My wife and I had a great stay at the Crooked Swan on a cold, rainy weekday in February, and it never felt miserable. The bedroom was huge, warm, beautiful and comfortable, with a luxurious roll-top copper bath. Staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner was excellent: we had croquetas, whitebait, burgers, sticky toffee pudding and brownie, and enjoyed every bit. Breakfast was great too. There was good beer on tap, plus two-for-one cocktails. Can't wait to return. Thanks, Crooked Swan team.

The Crooked Swan looked so impressive that we decided to stop for lunch while passing through. The usual chef was away, and the shorter menu had nothing vegetarian on it, which was a problem for us. After the waiter checked with the chef, they offered a wild mushroom lasagne. We ordered it, and it was delicious, unlike any lasagne we’d had before. Glad we found this place.

Tree looked after us all evening, getting the balance just right between being attentive and giving my partner and me room to talk. Their suggestions were spot on, and the service was impeccable. The food was fantastic, though a little pricey, and came out promptly. There was a great choice of drinks too, and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

We had a cracking evening meal here as a group. Everyone found something tasty, and the different dishes were all cooked well. There was a nice big table, the bar and waiting staff made us feel welcome, and service was prompt. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. Thanks to the Crooked Swann team.

We’ve only just moved to Crewkerne, and this was a great choice for taking the family out for Sunday lunch. We all had the roast beef, probably the best we’ve ever eaten. The welcome and service were lovely too. We’ll be back!
