For anyone taking the train to their next stop, this might be the best hostel to stay in. There's a small supermarket nearby where you can get what you need to make dinner in the fully stocked kitchen. The rooms, shared areas, and kitchen were all very clean, and I felt safe here. I stayed one night while hiking the WHW, though you do have to take a small detour to get back on the trail.

The hostel has a lovely feel, with a cosy living area, a well-equipped kitchen, and warm, kind staff. The location is excellent for people arriving by rail and for walkers on the WHW.

Good value for the money, with helpful staff, clean facilities, and rooms that were fine. The dinner choices were very limited, just Pot Noodles or frozen pizza, and breakfast was minimal. It seems better suited to people who cook for themselves than trekkers hoping to buy a meal. We were unlucky that other guests got up noisily at 5:30, and the building carries a lot of sound.

A great little hostel in a fantastic location, with friendly, efficient staff. The bed was warm enough and comfortable, and the place itself is great. Remember earplugs in any hostel. Snoring can make it hard to sleep, and I'd forgotten that could be an issue. Also, despite a comment in another review, this is north of Loch Lomond.
