We arrived as a group of six with only 15 minutes before closing, but they made us feel welcome and said we could take our time. The coffees and hot chocolates were delicious, as were the generous slices of cake, tart and shortbread. Everything was fairly priced and service was quick. There were two vegan cake choices too. I’ll come back next time I’m in the area.
The banana and salted caramel cake was divine, and the huge cheese scones were delicious with salty Welsh butter that was easy to spread. They had decaf tea, served in a pot, and the coffee was good too. The toilets are quite unique! We stumbled on this cafe on our way out for the day and will return when we're in Wales again.
The views while you eat are stunning, and the scones are epic. This is a lovely cafe in a beautiful spot, with friendly service, good prices and proper loose leaf tea. Strongly recommended if you're in Criccieth.
I only wanted an uncomplicated quick lunch, and came here because the other places were closed until late afternoon or far too expensive. The location is the one thing I liked. I ordered a Welsh Rarebit baguette and Coca-Cola, but was served Welsh Rarebit on two slices of bread and Pepsi instead, with neither change mentioned when I ordered. I was charged nearly £15 as well. If you have very specific dietary needs, this place might make you sick.
The staff are lovely and it’s super dog friendly. My favourite treat is the brilliant cheese scones with a nice glass of wine, something I always look forward to.
