I was made to feel welcome in the landlady's home, and ended up spending the evening chatting with her and her family over a few pints. I'd only popped in for a burger and a drink, but both were simple and delicious. It's a traditional local pub, about a 10 minute walk from Cullompton Services off J28 M5. I hope to return one day.

As a local, I dropped in to meet the new landlady and see what was happening with the place. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and the beer was fresh tasting and properly chilled. I asked the chef to choose something for me and got the all steak pie. Wow. I've worked in food, so I know good taste, and this was superb, with fat chunky chops and beans instead of peas. Highly recommend the food and beer. A very good start, well done, guys.

We stopped during a long drive to find something to eat. Since it was Bank Holiday Monday, they'd run out of everything but pizzas, which wasn't their fault and suited us fine. The pizzas were great, there was a good choice of beers, and the service was cheerful. They even packed up our leftovers in a box to take home.

We've only recently moved to the area and got such a lovely welcome. The management and staff are lovely, and the food is amazing. Highly recommend a visit. 5 star 💫

That stacker burger was a real surprise. I didn't expect such quality from a local pub that doesn't make a big fuss about its food. The atmosphere and the food are both 100% recommendable.
