The location is great for relaxing and taking in the views. It’s a lovely, stylish house, updated since the photos on this site were taken, and it’s well equipped. We also got a nice welcome pack with local goods, prosecco and beer, thank you! A couple of things could be better: neither the main bathroom nor the ensuite has a window, so steam builds up without an extractor fan. The shower wasn’t draining by day three, and I had to clear out hair and gunk from the drain. Regular drain clearing would help.

The house is spacious and well equipped, with comfy beds, good showers, towels provided, and a welcome basket. It’s dog friendly too. There’s a balcony or terrace across the front, with lovely views over the Menai Strait, and a private jetty. The Gazelle seafront pub is a short walk away, Beaumaris is five minutes by car, and Bangor Pier is just opposite, lovely at night. The location is fabulous, but there are stairs everywhere: down from the front door, up to all the bedrooms, and steps into the living room and kitchen. It’s not suitable for anyone with mobility issues, and definitely not for wheelchair users. The house is on a busy main road where cars really don’t slow down. The downstairs utility floor and toilet need some TLC. The floor feels like it might give way.

The place is really well kitted out, and the rooms are finished to a high standard. It has great views and a lovely feel, with access down to the water from a private jetty. It’s in a beautiful spot along a particularly picturesque stretch of the Menai.
