The rear balcony was a clever design and a lovely bonus, and the cottage had high-spec equipment throughout. It was spotless, with cake waiting on arrival and the basics for a cup of tea. I had a friendly chat with Mike. I only wish our working holiday had left us more time to enjoy the cottage and the area.

We stayed five nights on a small farm, with chickens, ducks and geese, plus Lilly the lovely dog who came to greet us whenever we went out. The cottage was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed. The kitchen was great, with a dishwasher and washer-dryer, and both the bathroom and shower were excellent. Sitting on the balcony at the back, we enjoyed the views. This part of Wales has stunning scenery and some nice little villages. We’ll definitely return.

We spent the Easter holidays here. It’s a quiet, remote getaway, yet many tourist attractions are easy to reach.

A peaceful dream of a place for a perfect break, with an excellent host and a heavenly location. I’d definitely come back. Two small things would make it even better: filling the potholes on the track up to golwg Las, and adding a sun umbrella to the balcony, which is lovely for sitting out but can get very hot.
