The room was lovely for a two-night stay, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The steak pie was incredible, keep it on the menu and I might have to come back for it! There’s a nice bar with a pool table and friendly, chatty locals. The room was very reasonably priced, and it’s just down the road from the station and town centre. Great place to stay.

Right in the city centre and stupidly good value. I got there a couple of hours early without asking for early check-in, went to the bar and said I was staying. They asked my name and took me straight to my room without me even having to ask. The place was spotless. Gill was so friendly, nice and accommodating, big shout-out to her.

This is my second stay, and I’ll use the place again and again. The rooms are clean, the bar has a great atmosphere, and the staff are always friendly. Lovely place, about five minutes from town.

A nice pub in Darlington with friendly staff, clean rooms, and great food and drinks. They even helped me sort out my car when I had trouble. Highly recommend!

The rates are very competitive, and getting to both the town centre and station is easy from here. Inside, it was warm, cosy, clean and comfortable, with good insulation from traffic noise. Customer service was superb too. If you're staying in Darlo, put The Dalesman near the top of your list. You won't regret it.
