61 Norton Park

We had a cozy, warm chalet during a cold week in January, and it had everything we needed. Highly recommend it for a quiet off season break.

A relaxing area around Dartmouth, with beautiful scenery. Norton Park Devon is lovely.

The view was lovely, the site was easy to find, and Dartmouth was an easy drive away. We slept very well, and despite awful weather and accommodation that wasn’t really our thing, we still had a lovely, peaceful week. With all the wind and rain, I doubt many people wanted to be outside anyway. The chalet felt crowded with things left over from decades of family life. Every room had cleaning products stored in it, so much was packed into the wardrobes that we could use only half the space, and a whole bookcase was full. A cupboard for the cleaning supplies would have made more sense. There were fishing nets in the bathroom and water flippers in the lounge, though even the rain didn’t make those necessary. The car park was rough, and in wet weather the path to our chalet felt hazardous. Tables, chairs, benches and pots were in the way, which made carrying cases and bags difficult. We spent the week imagining how we’d rearrange the clutter, but it wasn’t our place to do it. Everyone likes different things, but this wasn’t the holiday accommodation for us.

The pitches were tidy and very clean. Facilities are excellent, the campsite is well managed, and I highly recommend it.
