We arrived by boat. You can't book a berth, but the marina team were incredibly helpful, calling several times to make sure we got one. The marina is first class. Harbour births are also easy to book and none of them are expensive. As hotel guests we paid £22 for an 8 meter, the harbour was £23. The hotel staff were all super friendly and helpful. There are plenty of outdoor spaces, with views over the beautiful Dart estuary, and the bar and food areas are great. Our room was well designed, quite New England in style, with amazing views and terraces. Breakfast was first class for quality, service and choice. If you don't know Dartmouth, the centre and shops are very close, about a 5-10 minute walk along the estuary side. Honestly, one of the best hotel stays I've had recently.

One thing that really showed the quality of service was a small request at reception. I asked for help tying my tie, and a staff member there, who I believe was Egyptian, kindly said he would take care of it and tied it perfectly. I didn't get his name, but I want to thank him for his kindness, respect, professionalism and friendly manner. I stayed two days ago and had an unforgettable night. The hotel was extremely clean, warm, comfortable and elegant in every detail. It's one of the finest and most beautiful hotels I've experienced. The comfort and cleanliness are matched by exceptional staff. I highly recommend it and will definitely return.

I travel a lot for work with Salcombe Gin and stay in hotels across the UK and beyond, so I have a solid benchmark for hospitality. Dart Marina is right at the top for me. The river view never loses its impact and makes you slow down and take in where you are. Ali, the hotel manager, runs the place with real care, and the genuine welcome carries through the whole stay. Rhian at reception is consistently warm and professional, making arrivals and returns feel easy and personal. The rooms are luxurious, beautifully finished, impeccably maintained and incredibly comfortable, with everything thoughtfully considered so I can switch off after long travel days. Food and drinks are consistently high quality and served with real attention to detail. Zanete in the restaurant deserves a mention for warm, intuitive service. I actively look forward to coming back every time.

We had a deluxe room with robes, slippers and complimentary toiletries. My skin felt so soft after using them! The view from room rm 33 was fab, even with the terrible weather, and I was determined to sit on the balcony and enjoy it. First stay here this weekend. The hotel is very nice and overlooks the Dart. We only stayed and had breakfast, which was nice and just enough. I would've liked to eat in the main restaurant, but as a vegetarian there wasn't much choice for me. Maybe they'll have more options for non meat eaters in future. My only criticism is that two or three people took our breakfast orders on both mornings, and they got them wrong. I guess there was a lack of communication.
