Murcott Mill Farmhouse

We had everything we needed and the service was great. I couldn’t have asked for more from this four-night stay while visiting family nearby. The location was lovely, the room comfortable, breakfast was great, and the atmosphere was friendly. Our hostess made us feel very welcome.

The house was lovely, as were the room, breakfast, and gorgeous surroundings. Our hostess was helpful with questions about amenities in the village, but there was a real lack of warmth and friendliness otherwise. I don’t know if it had anything to do with my husband’s buzz cut and tattoos, but we clearly didn’t fit the bill, and it showed in her manner. We’d booked to return next year, then thought it over and decided to stay somewhere else.

We were waiting for our house purchase to complete, and Murcott Mill took the stress out of the week. We stayed for a week, and the views were lovely. I also liked being next to the railway line and walking across the cow field to the village. The WiFi was good and the bed was extremely comfy. My son says the best thing about the room was the bed because it had all kinds of animals on it. Breakfast was fantastic too. It’ll be our first choice for family and friends to stay in future.

The owners were great, and breakfast was superb. It’s a beautiful, peaceful house in a lovely quiet setting. The rooms are basic, but very clean and extremely comfortable. I can’t wait to come back.
