St Crispin Inn

We went for lunch on Friday 8th May 2026, and the pub was a real feel-good place. The locals were friendly and had nothing but good things to say about the pub, staff and food. Inside and out, the venue is beautiful. Everything was delicious and home cooked, and the staff could accommodate some changes to our lunch request. Service was prompt, and Mel behind the bar was extremely helpful with fantastic customer service. I'll definitely visit again soon.

This is just my personal view, and other people may like their dinner that way, but I was very disappointed after reading the good reviews. The roast came swimming in gravy, and the second meat in the two-meat option was a tiny piece of pork with a thick strip of fat and no crispiness. The roast potatoes seemed deep-fried and were hard to cut. The vegetables looked plain and unappealing, while the cauliflower cheese was very soft and drowned in cheese. My squid starter was also swimming in the dip poured over the plate. A little bowl for the dip would have been nicer.

A traditional pub in a pretty village, with a nice atmosphere, easy parking and plenty of good home cooking.

When I visited the nearby RSPB reserve, I parked in the car park at this nice little pub in Worth near Sandwich, Kent, but do ask before parking there. The staff were friendly and they serve food.
