The room was freezing, and we felt so uncomfortable that we barricaded the door. It was dirty too: used mugs were left out, the wallpaper was damp along the roof, and we found a USED razor in the shower and a USED mouthwash cup in the cupboard with mouth prints and dried toothpaste on it. They did move us from a room that wasn't suitable to a nicer one, but that room was still an absolute tip. Staff were incompetent. One even asked ME to help HER use HER card machine and handle MY payment. When she gave me the room key, she asked, “is this the key to your room is it a 6 or 9”. How am I supposed to know? JUST DO NOT STAY HERE. All the good reviews are from when the old owners were here. These people don't know how to run a hotel, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Since the new owners took over, the hotel has become very badly run and maintained. It's dirty, there's no service, and the bathrooms don't work. Breakfast is mediocre now, and the hours are just weird.

It was the cheapest accommodation in the local area, and the location is great. Some rooms look out over the sea and pier. The windows are single pane, though, so it might get cold in autumn and winter.

The bedroom is terrible. The showers are shared on each floor, and they're tiny, very old and basic. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
