For a relaxed lunch, the Guild Hall Tavern had just what we wanted. We ordered hunters chicken topped fries and a southern fried chicken basket with fries. Both tasted good and were nicely presented. The food arrived about 15 minutes after we ordered, which seemed a reasonable wait and gave the impression it was cooked fresh. It was fairly quiet when we dropped in. We ordered a drink from the polite barman, chose a place to sit, then ordered our food at the bar. A nice visit overall, with good food, friendly service and a relaxed feel. I'd recommend the Guild Hall for lunch in the area.

The bara brith was the best I've had, and the afternoon tea for 20 was generous, homemade and extremely reasonably priced. There was enough left over for guests to take some home. The young woman serving us was helpful and polite, and the manager/owner offered coffee from the machine for everyone instead of instant coffee and tea, a lovely touch. I hosted my twin sisters baby shower here in Feb 2026 after another local business let me down. Guild Hall fitted us in with barely a month's notice, and I'm so glad my original booking was cancelled. The rustic venue was very clean, and we were allowed into the function room early to decorate. They even disposed of our unwanted decorations afterward, which they didn't have to do. We had an amazing experience with the food, facilities and service, no negatives at all. I'll definitely recommend it.

A friendly, dog friendly pub with a beautiful old-world feel. The staff were great and accommodating. We had fish and chips and steak on two visits, and both were beautiful. Prices seemed okay, depending on what you choose. We came here for a friend's birthday meal. Parking can be tricky, so check the area before booking. I think there's a pay and display car park nearby.

The food and service were very good. I went in early lunchtime, and there were only a handful of people there.

Tucked away behind the main road in the heart of Denbigh, this place feels like a real gem. The tavern has a lot of history, old and new, and you can ask inside about the well. The rooms are steeped in history, the walls are full of local stories and curiosities, and the locals have lovely smiles. The bar staff were attentive and keen to help us enjoy the day. There's a bar, accommodation, private rooms and an amazing beer garden hidden on a crop. Stairs lead up to a view that's best appreciated sober. I imagine it gets lively in the evenings, though I visited during the day. There's also a nightclub and events area, and I noticed open mic comedy nights advertised. Sounds fun.
