The Sun Inn

We’d only stopped in for a couple of drinks since we weren’t eating that day. The fire was blazing and the place felt cosy, so the cold wind outside was quickly forgotten. We stayed for two or three hours in the end 🤪🍻

We make this our pub whenever we’re on holiday, and I’d happily recommend it. It’s cosy, dogs are welcome, and there’s a fireplace and darts. The beer’s good and the staff are lovely and friendly.

A proper old fashioned Dales inn, and a handy place to stop when walking the Dales Way. The cask beer is good, and there’s an excellent full English. For dining, it’s a takeaway menu.

Getting here takes some effort, but this traditional free house in a lovely village is worth the trip. The bar staff are really friendly, and the ale I tried was lovely. They seemed to have about five ales on. No food, but the beer has plenty of character and is spot on. There are two dart boards and two darts teams, including one Mr T plays for.
