Aston Court Derby City Centre by Belvilla

We've stayed here repeatedly midweek and feel valued as returning guests. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, and the central location is great. Manager Kumar is welcoming, helps with our needs, and works around our preferences and changes to our stay. Hayot is friendly and welcoming at reception too. Thanks for always having us back. A mini fridge in the room would be useful.

I've stayed here for several weeks and will definitely come back whenever I need to. It's relaxed and comfortable, with good prices and close to local amenities. Public transport is easy to reach, and the train station is directly across the road. The rooms are clean, comfortable and secure. Staff across the hotel are excellent, especially the warm, welcoming desk team who are happy to help with requests. HK, the manager, works extremely hard and is dedicated to keeping customers happy. Thanks for a great experience, guys!

The room was clean and in good condition, and the front desk staff were polite, helpful and accommodating. They were the reason I gave three stars. Otherwise, this would have been zero. The safety procedures need serious attention. We were two young women, and at check-in they said our room number and door code out loud. Anyone nearby could have heard them and later accessed our room. With no extra lock beyond the keypad, that felt dangerous and left us fearful for the rest of our stay, thankfully just one night. As we were leaving, we overheard another check-in. They only said that guest's room number, but even that shouldn't be spoken aloud. Any decent hotel manager should know this and make sure the staff do too.

It's right beside the train station, as described, and we stayed one night. The room didn't match the photos and badly needed a deep clean. It was meant for three people but had no bath towels. When we asked, they said they had none and gave us extra hand towels instead. It was extremely cold even with the radiator turned all the way up, and there were no spare blankets. They also charge to leave your bags after checkout, £5 in our case. The one good thing was the cook, a very nice Portuguese lady.
