Holiday Inn Express East Midlands Airport by IHG

Micheal, the general manager, was polite and very helpful when I emailed about a parking fine from a difficult parking company. He sorted it out within 10 minutes, great service. I had an excellent stay in July this year. The food was great, the room was comfortable and clean, and my son and I slept really well. We’ll be back later in the year!

We stayed the night before our flight and were pleasantly surprised by the hotel’s price and quality. The soundproofing was so good that, even right beside the runway, we didn’t hear any aircraft noise. Breakfast was included and got the day off to a great start.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good, especially the tasty bacon and sausage. The evening meal was alright, though it seemed to come from a packet or two. The room was modern, clean and sensibly equipped. Parking was fine, but cost £10 a night. There was some early morning noise from aircraft taking off. I'd use the hotel again.

We only stopped here on the way somewhere else, but it felt like a little extra holiday. After a long day of driving, the staff were kind, friendly and incredibly helpful. They made settling in easy, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. I’d give it more stars if I could. Highly recommend.
