Amy and Gemma made our visit stand out. They were friendly, attentive and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. Their warm, professional manner made us feel welcome. The food at The Kings Highway was excellent, well prepared and full of flavour. Great food, service and atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

We made the drive over from Chesterfield and it was well worth it. The carvery was lovely, especially the pork and Dauphinoise potatoes Jason recommended. It was our first time here, after knowing him from The Greyhound, and he’s already brought some of his magic to the place. Great food, a nice atmosphere and excellent service. We’ll be back.

The restaurant was spacious and had a separate accessible toilet. We went on Saturday with a large group and several powerchairs, and the owner and staff made sure everyone was comfortable and had what they needed. Service was quick, friendly and very good, with reasonable prices. I’d happily go again.

There were about 17 of us, including seven wheelchair users, and Jason, Gemma and the team made the evening easy for everyone. They found us an accessible area and stepped in to sort out any problems. Everyone was so helpful, and the food was great for the price. They really were amazing. Highly recommend.

We had the carvery at 7.45pm, only 15 minutes before serving finished, and everything was still piping hot and fresh. I’ve been to other carveries where they stop replenishing near closing time, but Chef Richard kept everything topped up. He was friendly and accommodating while serving the vegetables, and the waiting staff were great too. The veg trimmings were fantastic, and those may have been the best roast potatoes I’ve had.
