The bed was really comfortable and we both slept wonderfully. Our clean room had everything we needed, and the bathroom was gorgeous. On arrival, we were greeted and given all the details, and we could choose our breakfast time and what we wanted, which worked well for us.

I was meant to book a single room, but ended up with a four-poster double and a big shower booth with three shower heads, plus all the amenities for two guests. The room was great, way beyond what I expected. The bed was so comfortable I slept better than I do at home. Breakfast was tasty and a good size, and the staff were really friendly. It was quiet, and if the weather's good, a walk along the canal towpath could be lovely.

The room and food were nice, but I'm giving a low score because there was no hot water, and it was a known issue.
