A friend of my daughter's had to stay here with her little girl, and the experience has traumatised them both. There's banging and fighting nearly every night. The shared bathroom and toilet are disgusting, and the mother is too frightened to leave her room to use the toilet at night. The heating only comes on from 5pm to 10pm, so it's freezing when they wake up. This place apparently houses homeless people and young mothers with children. It seems to have taken on council residents for the money. The council should read this and the other comments and look into this big issue now. They may be homeless, but they're human and deserve to be treated properly. I hope and pray the council does something before someone doesn't wake up because they've frozen. This hotel needs closing down.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from and was a decent quality, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The building is lovely, and our clean room had a big TV and everything we needed for a short stay. The shared bathroom was modern and clean, and we never had trouble getting in when we needed it. Good value for money, especially on a budget. Definitely recommended.

The room had a kettle, microwave and fridge, and the facilities were good. It was reasonably clean. The bathrooms aren't en-suite, which isn't ideal if you don't get there first. I had the complimentary vegetarian breakfast, basically all the non-meat items, but there was no veggie sausage. It was quite wet because the juices from the mushrooms, tinned tomatoes and beans had run together. The self-service cereals, drinks and toast were great. There's also a pool table and vending machines. I stayed one night, so this isn't a verdict on the whole place. Nobody in hospitality sets out to give a poor experience, and anyone can have an off day.

We had a great stay and I'd come back. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the clean, well-equipped room came with free goodies. It was affordable even for students. We overslept one morning, but the owner still had the kitchen make us breakfast after breakfast hours. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, and the mall and shops are about a 15-minute walk away. My only complaint is that we'd booked a room with our own bathroom, but the one we got could also be used by other guests. Most people seemed to use the other bathroom on the floor, though. Coming from a dreadful, cramped London hostel, we would've been fine either way.

We were relieved to leave after just one day, which was miserable and frustrating. The website photos looked good, but the place felt claustrophobic in person, and we felt scammed. Our two rooms were far apart, and the toilet wasn't attached, so everyone had to share one. When we arrived, the manager was out and nobody was there to welcome us. He was rude when he eventually came. There was a foul smell right from the entrance, made worse by the smelly fridge. The room lights didn't work, and neither did the toilet light. There was no air freshener, air conditioning or fan. We saw no staff when we returned from an outing, and those we encountered had no tag or uniform to identify them. We wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
