The views over the fields were amazing, and we even spotted a muntjac deer in the garden. The West Wing is ideally placed for exploring the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Inside, it was tasteful, comfortable and spotlessly clean, with everything provided for a stay. Though it’s attached to the owners’ property, it felt very private, and the hosts gave us space. Amanda couldn’t do enough for us. We couldn’t fault the place and will return in summer, when we’re looking forward to sitting on the private patio with a glass of wine.

The host was so accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us, and their dogs were really friendly. The one-bedroom place is laid out beautifully and was super clean. It’s reached by a long track, with fields and nature all around. Even though we visited in winter, there’s a lovely seating spot for warm summer evenings. The location is perfect for the southern tourist sites and the Cotswolds. Definitely recommend, and we’ll definitely be back.

Everything you need for a comfortable stay is supplied in this well-serviced cottage, whatever the time of year. There are walks within easy reach. Devizes is well worth visiting, with a lovely market, shops and cafes.
