I've traveled plenty, both as a retiree and earlier as a logistics consultant, and I used to own a motel in St. Pete Beach Florida. I can't recall owners or managers giving me this level of attention or service, and comparable comfort and room experience were rare. Claire, hats off to you. I really can't think of anything that could've been handled better or with more courtesy and professionalism. I'm already looking forward to staying again.

For £80 a night, I thought this cabin was overpriced, and we won't be back. It wasn't cleaned properly, the window wouldn't close right, and we felt like we were being bitten overnight. The shelf above the bed sits at eye level and is a clear hazard when you get up in the dark. The toilet seat was fitted badly and wouldn't stay up. There's a bed, but you'll need to find your own breakfast, despite the Wi-Fi password suggesting this is a bed and breakfast.

The park across the road was handy for the children, and amenities were within walking distance in this quiet area. We had everything needed for a short stay, and it was comfortable. As a woman traveling alone with a child, I also felt secure.

The faulty sink plug was a small issue and didn't spoil our stay. The bed was comfortable and gave us a good night's sleep. Everything you need is in a small space, making it ideal for a short stay. It would make a good base for exploring nearby, though perhaps not a place for a whole holiday.
