A very disappointing, unprofessional experience. We'd had a confirmed booking at Snowdonia Manor for over a month and a half, with family coming from France and Norway. Food and supplies had already been ordered for delivery to the property. Then, just a few weeks before our stay, the reservation was suddenly cancelled without any clear or valid reason. We'd arranged everything around the booking, so it caused a huge inconvenience. Cancelling a confirmed reservation so close to the date is completely unacceptable, especially with international travel involved and £2500 being paid. I wouldn't recommend Snowdonia Manor to anyone who values reliability and professionalism!!!

The place itself is beautiful, but there were several problems. There was no heating or hot water when we arrived, and the plumber arranged by the owners couldn't fix it. The bathroom floor tiles were cracked all over, and the garden decking was damaged and unsafe. For the price paid, these issues really let the property down. We booked and stayed over the May bank holiday in 2025. As we arrived, the agents we'd booked through told us they no longer looked after the property, and new agents seemed to be taking over right then. After we complained to the owners, they offered a small refund or a discounted return, and we accepted. Our stay should be in May 2026, but the owners have ignored all my messages, even though they've been read.

This was meant to be a carefully planned family break in a large property that seems to have been a care home. We booked it for 21st-24th Nov to accommodate two children with special needs, a very elderly guest aged 94, and extended family. On arrival it was freezing, with no heating at all. We tried several times to reach Sykes and the owner, but nobody got back to us for five hours. Engineers came the next day, but the heating only worked on our last day. We would have gone home if we hadn't been repeatedly promised it would be fixed. Instead we bought heaters and several bags of logs for the tiny log burner. The owner verbally promised us a full refund, then went back on it once we were home. The property was dirty and very tired. Outside was appalling: the hot tub was on but cloudy, and the garden was messy, with litter and overturned furniture. As mentioned in previous reviews, one bathroom had no bath or shower plumbing. There were many health and safety issues that I think would ultimately close the place if inspected. It isn't fit for purpose or the luxury property it's described as, and should be avoided at all costs. I've tried to get compensation, but neither Sykes nor the owner has been forthcoming. An awful company, and I won't deal with Sykes again. I'd give zero stars if I could.
