You can enjoy lovely walks along the river, and we spotted red squirrels. The lodge is beautiful and tastefully decorated, with a hot tub too. It’s peaceful and quiet, though a little off grid, with the nearest town only a short drive away.

The holiday park is handy for pubs and takeaways in Dollar, and on a nice day you can walk into the town centre. There are walking paths nearby, and it’s close to Stirling and Falkirk while staying away from heavy traffic and noise. GlenBeagle Lodge is spotless and has everything you could need. The host goes above and beyond, leaving treats for both the dog and us. Email communication was exceptional, and self check-in and check-out were easy. The bed wasn’t comfortable for me, but that’s personal preference. I woke with back pain, though it didn’t make the stay a bad one. The lodge is dog friendly, as long as you follow the rules. The host understandably doesn’t want dog hair or pawprints on the bedding. I’d recommend it if your dog behaves, and doesn’t sneak onto the bed at night 😉.

The place was spotless, and there was a lovely basket of goodies waiting for us when we arrived. Beautiful spot with lovely views. We’ll definitely come again.

I loved sitting on the decking and watching the baby Highland cows with their mums in the field beside the lodges. The location also made a great base for exploring by car or on foot, and the grounds were kept immaculate by a very friendly site caretaker. I didn’t get her name, but enjoyed chatting with her, and she recommended a great little pub for steak pie. The lodge was spotlessly clean when we arrived and had everything needed for a comfy getaway. The owner left a basket of sweet and savoury treats, plus a bottle of chardonnay to go with them. I was impressed by the towels, and the toaster was the best and fastest I’ve come across, though unfortunately I couldn’t see the make. I’ll definitely return to Dollar lodge, Bridge End 2. Thanks for a lovely, much needed break from home.

It was cold outside, but the lodge stayed cosy. It was clean, very nice and well equipped. We spent most of our time enjoying the lovely hot tub. Such a quiet, peaceful and relaxing place if you’re after a getaway with a hot tub.
