Mansion Court

I left before dawn, even though I didn’t need to leave until 7:30 at the earliest. The room was disgusting, and after struggling to get in, I felt awful staying there, especially with all the mould. There was mould and stagnant water coming from the bath jets, plus a dirty panel. I also found a broken plant pot, cobwebs, someone’s partly used Redox, slug trails everywhere, and a pan under the sink collecting water from a leak. The damp smell was overpowering. There was dried snot beside the bed, a blood stain on the bed cover, a full ashtray outside on the terrace, a stray chip in the microwave, popcorn in odd places, dirty cushions, and a door that wouldn’t shut properly. I was there for work and had been trying the number they gave me from 9:30am to get access details. They called back by accident but couldn’t hear me, and when I called right back, nobody answered. I arrived at 5pm after working since 6am, but couldn’t get in until after 7pm. The restaurant owner next door went out of his way to help, contacting the building owner, who then reached Senita, the host who handles bookings. Two hours later she finally got back to me and blamed the website for not sending the access details. I accepted that and was just relieved to get inside. Then she said I was booked for one night and had to leave by 11am, even though I knew I’d booked two. It seemed like she didn’t know what was going on. Senita later texted that I was, actually, staying two nights. No thanks. Honestly, it was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The description felt misleading.
