The Angel Inn – Pub, Dine & Stay Misson

There's a lot of food, and it was all well cooked and presented. The beef melted in our mouths, and even though service was nearly over, the vegetables were still crisp, not limp. Sunday lunch was exceptional, with brilliant service and a smile. Best in the area, we'll definitely be back. Thank you x

They even brought breakfast out early so we could leave ahead of the usual half-past-nine serving time. The owners were superstars. After our long day, we arrived on a last-minute booking and were met at the pub by owners who already knew our names and reservation. We're used to staying in pubs around the country, but our room was large and in a separate building from the main pub. There was a mini fridge with two cold bottles of water, a big shower with strong, fast-flowing water, drawers and hangers on a rail. We arrived late, ordered food quickly, and got a pepperoni pizza, about 10 inches, with chips. It was a huge portion and absolutely perfect. I wish I'd chosen the Angel grill, a mixed grill. My dad had a steak dish with mushrooms, and that was cooked perfectly too. I'd highly recommend staying or just coming for the food.

It’s a 50-minute drive for me, but I’ll definitely be back. The rib eye was cooked perfectly and came with all the trimmings and more. A fantastic Sunday lunch, full of flavour and locally sourced. Thanks for the great food and hospitality.

Andy and Adele are lovely hosts, with great banter, and I'll be coming back. The food was some of the best I've ever had. The steak was cooked perfectly, the chips were tasty and plentiful, and the Poke Bowl was light and refreshing, just right for summer.
