Evelix Pods

We used the pod for three nights as a base in the Highlands. I'd never stayed in one before, and was most concerned about the size, especially the bathroom. I'm 6 foot and 220 lbs, and managed it with no problem. We asked for a small change on arrival day and it was sorted quickly. As Canadians on vacation, we highly recommend it. It's close to the highway, petrol, and Dornoch.

The pods were just the right size for our family of four, with two adults and two kids. They were well insulated and kept warm, and the kitchenette helped us make packed lunches and keep food costs down. We could also enjoy a wee drink on the balcony after the kids went to sleep. The peaceful area, welcoming hosts, helpful local tips, and perfect welcome pack made our stay at Evelix Pods fantastic. We can't rate it highly enough and will definitely return.

The people running the pods are lovely. The place is modern, clean, warm, and well equipped, with plenty of room, a great shower, a comfy bed, and thoughtful little touches. It's about a 40-minute walk to the centre or a 5-minute drive. I'd definitely recommend it.

The secluded setting was lovely, with Dornoch town still easy to reach. We stayed three nights as a family of four, with two children under 12. The pods had a double bed, a large comfortable sofa bed for the kids, a table, and a small kitchen with the essentials: plates, cups, glasses, and cutlery. Cooking wasn't possible, but microwave meals were available at Lidl in Tain. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cereal, and milk were provided too. The caretakers were wonderful. They suggested a nearby distillery and a good place to watch seals, and both outings were delightful. Self-check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free.
