Creity Hall Chalet

Just one night here as a break on the drive home, though we wished we could have stayed longer. The welcome was so warm, the rooms were lovely, and breakfast was delicious. We’ll keep Creity Hall Guest House in mind for our next trip to Scotland, and would definitely recommend it.

The hosts were so welcoming, and the house itself is beautiful. I only wish I’d had 2-3 days to enjoy it properly and see more of the area. Hope I can come back!

We spent two nights in the chalet beside Creity Guest House while touring Scotland. It’s set up for four and felt comfortable, with everything we needed. It would work well for a longer stay too, maybe with children. The owner gave us a very friendly welcome. Doune Castle is just a stone’s throw away. Outlander fans know it as ‘Castle Leoch’, and it was also used in Monty Python’s ‘Holy Grail’.

Bruce welcomed us on arrival and showed us to our rooms. They’re all upstairs, so heavy bags could be a hassle. Each room has its own bathroom, and there’s a TV in the guest rooms. The house also had good Wi-Fi. After we’d settled in, Bruce served tea, coffee and biscuits in the parlor and told us about local walks, places to eat and things to see. When we got back that evening, there were more drinks and snacks, including single malt whisky. Breakfast was fabulous, with a full menu to choose from: croissants, yogurt, toast, jams, coffee, tea and orange juice. My wife even had Diet Coke. The rooms are comfortable and uniquely decorated. Creity Hall is just down the road from Dune Castle, and within reach of Stirling, Fallkirk and Glasgow, about 30 minutes away. We highly recommend it.
