This is a characterful Victorian house that's been refurbished and looked after well. We stayed one night with our family in a quadruple room that fit four adults. Everything worked, the water was hot, and we had a small TV, kettle and working fan. Cookies and snacks were often available in the hallway, and a helpful lady welcomed us and explained the house and nearby places to eat. The location is fantastic, and there's private parking. We were there during the 2026 champions League final. Internet on the laptop wasn't coming through well, though it worked on the phone, so we had to use the phone as a hotspot. They may need a WiFi signal booster. There was also dust in the vent and fan, which would be good to clean. We were told the bathroom lighting worked on sensors, but it behaved oddly. A regular switch would be better. Those minor issues kept me from giving all five stars, though we still had a very enjoyable stay.

The host was very friendly, parking was convenient, and the room was spotlessly clean. I stayed one night at Hubert House in Dover over the August Bank Holiday and felt comfortable the whole time. Everything was perfect, and I'd definitely choose it again if I return to Dover.

Dover Castle is an easy short walk away, and the staff took great care of us. Check-in was flexible, and the Georgian room suited our romantic getaway really well. It's a beautiful B&B and an excellent place to stay in Dover. The southwest-facing wall can make it a bit warm without air conditioning, but the fan provided made it easy to rest.

The Georgian Room had a king-size four-poster bed, and was clean and comfortable, with a view over the main road toward the city centre and ferry. The road brings a downside too: ferry traffic held us in a queue for about 20 minutes before we reached the house. This quaint, luxurious guest house sits at the bottom of castle hill, close to Dover's ferry port. Dover Castle is a 15-minute walk away, and the city centre is five minutes on foot, so places to eat are within walking distance. We ate next door at the White Horse Inn, a popular spot with channel swimmers whose details are written on the walls and ceiling. Try to eat early. Parking is available, but it's limited and first come, first served. Continental breakfast is included in the room price, which is very reasonable and nice. All in all, a very comfortable stay.

Kindness and welcome would be my two words for this stay. We were met at the door by the warmest, kindest B&B host I've ever experienced. Our family room was on the top floor, clean, well presented and high quality, with everything we needed to be comfortable. Parking was great too. The hostess got up early to prepare a beautiful breakfast and offered to pack us extra for the ferry, though we were too full to manage it. If you need somewhere to eat, just ask her. She gave us detailed advice on the best places in Dover.
