The pub is in a quiet village, with Deal, Sandwich and Folkestone all within an easy drive through lovely countryside. We stayed one night over Easter and had a wonderful time. The welcome was warm, check-in was smooth and staff showed us to a spacious, beautifully decorated room. It was spotless, the bed was so comfortable, and there were tea and coffee facilities in the room. We booked dinner as well. The pub is stunning, the food was excellent and beautifully presented, and the dishes were great quality. Breakfast came with our stay and included a starter, a main, juice and a hot drink. Everything was excellent and the portions were generous.

We booked one night for a bit of time away with our dog, but loved it so much that we stayed an extra day because we didn't want to go home. We stumbled on a new favourite for a local getaway. The decor is gorgeous, the staff are friendly, welcoming and really helpful, and the food was incredible. They even left cookies at our door. Our dog's reaction is always the real test, and he loved the place from the moment he got out of the car. There was a lovely welcome pack for him in our room, and we just took him on a wonderfully scenic walk right from the hotel doorstep. We're looking forward to more good food, relaxing in the huge roll-top bath, and coming back lots more times.

The young staff who greeted us were attentive and helpful, and the whole place had a lovely, friendly feel without being fussy or formal. Our room was lovely, with a copper bath that was a nice touch. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. Great value for money, and we'd gladly stay again if we're in the area.

We came for two nights to attend a nearby wedding. The staff were friendly and dependable, especially Sam, who was approachable and very accommodating. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Getting there can be difficult without a car, though there are plenty of local taxi services. When we came back from the wedding, the hotel's private access doors weren't working and we nearly couldn't get in. We let the staff know, and they were very apologetic and set about fixing it straight away. We'd definitely return.
