The views from the lodge were incredible, and we spent our evenings outside with the hot tub and gas BBQ. We came for a long weekend with my mum, sister and cousin, and loved the beautiful furniture and furnishings. I can’t give it more than 5 stars, or I would. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.
The village was lovely and quiet, with a great pub and lovely views. The Lodge was beautiful, clean, and nicely furnished, with everything we needed. Couldn’t have wished for more, everything was perfect.
After walking about 10 miles each day, the hot tub was just what we needed to unwind. We stayed five nights in a lodge for four, and both huge, comfortable bedrooms had an ensuite. It was nicely decorated, well equipped, and had peaceful views. We’d have appreciated some oven dishes for cooked food from the BBQ, though. There are walks from Huggate itself and from nearby villages like Thixendale and Millington. The village pub is only a five-minute walk and opens Thursday to Sunday, handy if you don’t want to cook. The food was nice, the staff very friendly, and the beer and wine were good too. The pub has the same owners. We’d definitely recommend a break here and would come back. Thanks for a lovely stay!
The place is beautiful, with stunning views, and had everything we needed. I had a fabulous stay with the girls last December. It was perfect, and I can’t wait to go again next month.
We’ve stayed here twice now, and both visits have been incredible. It feels like a home away from home, in such a relaxing spot with a beautiful location.
