Hotel Forty One

We stayed at this hotel while cycling the Way of the Roses and got a warm, friendly welcome. Dinner was great, with proper home cooked chips and scampi, yum :). The room was modern, clean, very spacious and well equipped. The bed was comfortable, and the huge walk-in shower and radiators were handy for drying wet gear, something you don’t get at Premier Inn 👀. Definitely recommend this boutique hotel for a comfortable stay or a meal if you’re in the area.

We came back to Forty One and stayed in room 7 this time. It was lovely and spotless again. See you next time :-) On our first visit to Driffield, my partner booked us in before we went to Dumble Farm the next day. For a night away we tend to have the same plan, a nice room, Indian food for dinner and drinks afterwards, and this place ticked all the boxes. A senior staff member recommended the best Indian in Driffield if you want an alternative to Forty One’s food, and it’s opposite the local Wetherspoons. Parking at the end of the side street is great value at £2.80 for 24 hrs. Our room was clean, tidy and had everything we’d expect. Breakfast starts at 08.00. We were impressed with the service, and the bubbly, friendly bar lady/manager made us feel at home. If you’re stopping over in Driffield, I’d definitely give these guys a shot!

I’ve eaten dinner here twice, and the food was incredible both times. The steaks were cooked perfectly, and everything was great quality. The staff are friendly and the place was clean.

The full English breakfast was wonderful and cooked beautifully, and I slept well. My one-night stay was lovely, with a warm welcome from the staff at check-in. The room was small but very clean, and the bathroom was excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely stay here again soon.
