Rose Cottage

Angela has thought of so many little touches, and the cottage was beautifully presented, warm and stylish. We stayed at rose cottage for three nights with our twin toddler sons, and it really felt like home. We’ve never stayed anywhere so well prepared and family friendly. There’s loads to do in the beautiful area, and we’ll honestly be back and recommending it to everyone. Thank you, Angela, for such a gorgeous stay!

We’ve stayed twice and had a relaxing break both times. Angela is helpful and communication is great. The house is beautiful, spotless and really well equipped, and the enclosed garden works well for dogs. Wolds Inn is just two minutes away, and you can head out on Wolds walks directly from the house. Perfect!

We loved the enclosed garden and the lovely outdoor spots for sitting and eating, and Huggate itself was a gem in the middle of the Yorkshire Wolds. The cottage far exceeded our expectations for a week away. It was immaculate, with beautiful decor and super-comfy beds and bedding, and had everything we could need. All the little extras made a difference, from spare dog leads, beach towels and a shoe cleaning kit to books and DVDs, plenty of washing machine and dishwasher tablets, dog poo bags and outdoor bike storage. We couldn't be happier with our week there.

There are plenty of walks you can start from the cottage without getting in the car. The Wolds Inn pub and Rachel’s Tea room are both just around the corner and were very Covid prepared. We had a lovely time despite the rain. It’s a superb holiday home, with comfy beds, a huge bath, three living areas and a yummy welcome pack. Thanks, Angela!
