Chateau Impney

The grounds were lovely to wander around, and the reception room for the evening wedding was beautiful. We could also sit out on the balcony with a drink and take in the surroundings. Family members told us the meal was excellent, though I can't comment on the food myself. A lovely setting for a wedding.

The main building and grounds look beautiful, and reception staff were very courteous during my overnight stay and conference visit. My room was clean and functional, though basic and quite dated. Dinner was excellent but took a long time to arrive, and service was acceptable. Breakfast was good, but there weren't enough staff: the sausages and bacon ran out and weren't replenished quickly. At the conference, the food and drinks were very nice, though limited staffing led to huge queues for lunch and refreshments.

We were so pleased we chose chateau impney for our wedding. The grounds looked gorgeous, and our guests had lovely things to say about the hotel and staff. The planners were brilliant throughout, replying to emails promptly and talking through all the little details. They made sure my husband and I were happy with everything. The day went without a hitch, apart from us actually getting married! We can't wait to come back for our first anniversary.

The carvery portions at Sunday lunch were generous, with all the usual trimmings, and the grounds are beautiful. But the service was painfully slow. There were so few staff that we had to go to the bar ourselves for drinks. Two other tables complained about the same thing. It's a shame, because it brought the experience down.
