Travelodge Ashton Under Lyne

Our room faced the main road, with the tram line right outside, so leaving the window open made it pretty noisy and interrupted our sleep. There was a fan in the room, though. The place was clean throughout, and when we told Scott at reception that the shampoo and shower gel dispenser was broken, he apologised instead of brushing us off. We stayed for a concert at Co-op live, and the location was great, close to a tram stop that goes all the way to the Etihad Campus. I’d stay again for another concert there. It feels like Travelodge is getting back on par with its competitors after a few years of neglect.

Ashton under lyne travel lodge has fleas everywhere. Fleas were on the beds and jumping onto my mother, and the staff seemed to think spraying the room was enough. Don’t book here. I’ve made a serious hygiene complaint to environmental health.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean and comfortable, with the reliable standard Travelodge quality. I chose this place mainly because it was near my project site, and it turned out to be a solid choice. The only small snag was the key card system, which seemed outdated and had to be reactivated a couple of times. Otherwise, everything went smoothly, and I’d stay again for the location and service.

Nice staff and a great location. The water pressure was low, and the tram can get noisy.
