Dinner was excellent, with pork belly, cod and chicken, and breakfast was delicious too. The bar was great, and the restaurant had a cosy feel. Inside, the renovation has been done with a light touch, with ambient lighting and interesting pictures that suit the place. It’s very quiet but still easy to get to, with plenty of parking and an EV charging point. Everything was clean. Our room was small, but thoughtfully laid out and nicely furnished, with a comfortable bed, a very good shower and lots of hot water. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the prices for rooms, food and drinks were very reasonable. We look forward to coming back.

The location worked really well, a short walk to town but quiet and peaceful, and I could see a stream from my window. I stayed in the bunkhouse during the off season, so there were hardly any other guests, and I even had the room to myself one night. The room was in very good shape and great value, cheaper than many other hostels. The beds and bedding were comfortable, and the double kitchen had plenty of appliances and dishes.

The kitchen was the real bonus here, brand new, professionally equipped and sensibly laid out, with plenty of bright, cosy space. There’s lots of outdoor seating too, which would be ideal for summer gatherings. I arrived by public transport late in the afternoon, and the bar staff had my keycard neatly tucked in a little envelope. The restaurant and bar are in the adjacent building, and the bus stop is right opposite. I’d booked a shared room, but was the only guest in it. It was warm for winter and had a clothing rack with hangers and two bunk beds. The shower and toilet were spotless, with soap and a complimentary towel. I also liked the view of the stream. Would recommend 110%.

The staff were fantastic, helping with everything from check-in to dinner, and breakfast was included and delicious. Dinner was excellent as well, though I can imagine it gets very busy in high season, so booking ahead seems wise. The Loch Ness Inn is an old inn on the Loch Ness side that’s been modernised, with rooms, a restaurant and a bar. There’s parking on site and a range of rooms. Some are on the small side, but ours was spotless and tastefully decorated. A great stopover in Drumnadrochit, and we hope to return.

I slept like a log, even though in an old building you can sometimes hear doors closing elsewhere. The bed was comfy, and I loved the lovely surroundings when I ran to the Loch in the morning. We were greeted warmly and check-in was quick. The building is beautiful, and our room felt cosy and well laid out. Since it was snowing, the muddy boot tray and the tea and coffee already stocked in the room were especially welcome. We also had a drink in the bar, which had a friendly atmosphere and a brilliant whisky selection. I only wish I’d been staying longer so I could explore it more.
