Jackie made our arrival easy and the whole stay enjoyable. The breakfast was included, but it was about three times what I usually eat in the morning, so I had to ask her to cancel half of it! We had a family room for one night in early October 2021. It was very spacious, clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. The price was very competitive, both beds gave good support, and the linens smelled fresh, like recently washed cotton. A delightful stay, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting this lovely part of Scotland.

Jackie is such a pleasant, personable host. Nothing was too much trouble, and she took the time to suggest places to visit and eat. Lauren House exceeded all our expectations, especially for cleanliness and its outstanding breakfast. My husband, son, daughter-in-law, and I stayed there while in the area for a wedding at a nearby castle, which was excellent. I'd definitely recommend booking here if you're looking for accommodation in the area.

We had the lilac room, and all the thought put into coordinating it made me smile. It was spacious, beautiful, and immaculately clean. The breakfast was brilliant, and the owner was lovely: friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. I really can't say enough good things and would definitely recommend this hotel.

The owner was almost too friendly, which is about the only complaint I can come up with! I stopped here overnight on my way to the north of Scotland. The room was lovely, the staff very friendly, and breakfast delicious. It's a beautiful little B&B, and I'd highly recommend it if you need somewhere to stay in Dumfries.
