Breakfast was good, with everything you'd want and plenty of it. I started with the coffee, which was decent, and the friendly staff kept everything topped up. Angela was especially lovely, chatting with guests about the day ahead while clearing plates and checking we had what we needed. I had a good one night stay while travelling through. Everything was decent, clean and comfortable.

A decent base for Dumfries, just a short drive from town and easy to reach from the A75. The sign is hard to spot when driving east out of town, and some flood lighting would help. Staff were mostly very friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast. Last orders in the bar on Saturday seemed quite early, around 21:30. The stay suited us well, with no surprises, as usual with Premier Inn. I'd be happy to stay again.

Anna made breakfast especially pleasant. She explained how to use the coffee machine and was so attentive, clearing our plates and checking we had everything we needed. We arrived about 20 minutes before breakfast ended and were immediately welcomed by the friendly team. The hot food had already been put away, but they happily offered to make anything we wanted from the menu, which we really appreciated. The food was very nice too. A lovely start to the day, thanks to the welcoming staff and great service. We'd happily return.

The restaurant service was impeccable as always. Dinner was good value and served with a smile, and breakfast was fresh and well stocked. Angela deserves a special mention, she makes you feel so welcome, like you're being greeted by an old friend, and she's bright and cheery. She's a credit to the staff. This was another lovely visit. We marked the room down because nobody told us you now need to put a key into a wall unit for the electrics to work. A sign would help. We also marked the location down because the postcode took us to what looked like a small industrial estate instead of the hotel. Search for Premier Inn Dumfries instead.

The beds were brilliant, cosy and comfortable. The room was great, a little warm, but a fan was already there. The hotel is in a handy spot near amenities and a petrol station. Premier Inn breakfast is hard to fault, delicious, hot and with plenty of choice. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, and Angela was a lovely, kind and welcoming lady. We'll be back soon. We travel from the Southwest, so it's about halfway for us on the way to Ben Nevis.
