The food, the owners, the decor, and the atmosphere were all five-star for us. We had a fabulous time at the fantastic village inn caterers and alehouse, and we’ll certainly be back. If you’re in lovely dunblane, you should pop in for the food and hospitality. James runs the inn with his lovely with angie. It’s steeped in history and feels like a real part of town. The place isn’t huge, but it’s welcoming and calm. We were greeted warmly and shown to a nice table in a busy, bright, well laid-out restaurant. There was plenty of choice on the menu, including options for veges. To start, we shared haggis bon bons with salad and dip. They were juicy, tasty, and well fried, with a fresh salad and lovely dip. We kept it light to leave room for the mains. My partner had the mozambique curry, with succulent chiclen breat, a creamy sauce that still had a kick, perfectly cooked rice, and nan. She loved it. I had the chicken sizzle, big fresh pieces of chicken breast with peppers and onions in a delicate cajun sauce. It was cooked beautifully and so tasty. We enjoyed it all and chatted about what a great experience it had been. Best wishes, barry and stephanie.

We had a spur-of-the-moment family birthday gathering at this pub, with relatives coming in from Glasgow. The staff went out of their way to fit everyone in and make sure we had a great night. A brilliant team and great service.

The roast beef dinner and steak pie were both amazing. The meat was so tender, and the gravy was even better than my sister’s, which is saying something. There was plenty of food for a reasonable price. I’ll definitely be back. And is there room for dessert? It’d be rude not to.

A good pub with fair enough prices. Just be aware that quite a few nutcases go there, so if you don’t want to deal with that, fair enough. If you’re okay with it, go for it. There’s a pool table with a cue deposit, though I doubt they really care about the deposit. It’s my usual stop for a pint while waiting for a train.

We spent the weekend in Dunblane and had a brilliant time at this wee gem. The food was amazing, and the staff and service were great. It’s dog friendly too. We felt so welcome that we came back several times for food and drinks. Can’t wait to return!
